All meals are vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and under 600 calories. Each jar comes with everything you need and can be ready to eat in minutes. The ingredients are layered to stay fresh in the fridge for 4-5 days. Unlike other meal delivery services that require you to cook, there's virtually no prep with Simple Jar meals. 

We offer a wide selection of salads, soups, noodle bowls and veggie stackers. Every week, we offer between 6-8 jars to choose from. The menu rotates weekly so please check back often. 

We usually allow our subcription plan customers to customize their jars by eliminating up to 2 ingredients per jar. However, in order to shorten the lead time for processing orders from 3 days to 1 day, we have limited the ways you can customize your jars. 

On certain jars, we will offer 1 variation that will have the most commonly requested ingredients removed. For example, this might include include nuts, seeds, tofu (soy), or jalapeños. To select this variation, click on the "drop down" box underneath the name of the jar and "Add to cart". 

All of our meals are gluten-free, dairy free, meat-free and vegan. We also list out other common allergens (nuts, seeds, soy) in the menu descriptions. Please avoid ordering jars that have ingredients you are sensitive to, since we can't accommodate a wide range of eliminations at this time. 

Please also be aware that we prepare our meals in a commercial ktichen facility where allergens (nuts, wheat, dairy, etc.) may be present. While we have strict policies, we cannot guarantee a total absence of these products in any of our food. Customers with food allergies must be aware of the risk. 

Under the menu descriptions, we provide macro nutrient information per jar. All of our meals are designed to be under 600 calories per jar.

The jar photos look deceptively small. Each jar holds 32oz or 4 cups of food, which is the equivalent of 1 large entree dish or 2 side dishes. The veggie stackers come with enough veggies for a complete family dinner. 

So depending on what types of jars you order and how you use the food, you can get multiple servings per jar. For example:

1 jar = 1 large entrée salad or noodle bowl

1 jar = 2 side salads or dishes

1 jar = 3 sandwich wraps

1 jar = 2 cups of soup

1 jar = 4 cups of veggies for a complete family dinner

Delivery

We currently deliver to the Denver Metro and Boulder areas (not including the foothills). Click on this map to see our current zip codes. If we don't currently deliver to your area, please email hello@thesimplejar.com to join our delivery waitlist.

We deliver 5-days a week and are closed on weekends. We offer differet delivery time windows per day so please select a time when you will be home.

Yes. We are implementing a touchless delivery method and will not be delivering meals in coolers with ice packs. Therefore, you need to be home during your scheduled delivey window.

Unfortunately, we do not currenly have a retail location where you can pick up deliveries.

Ordering

No, we currently only take orders online. 

To place an order, click on the shoping cart icon in the top right corner of this website. Click on "Continue Browsing" and it will take you to the "Weekly Menu." From here, add as many jars as you would like to the cart. Before you can checkout, you will be asked to enter your zip code to confirm that we deliver to your area. Select a date and delivery time window (e.g., 2-6pm) and follow the prompts to finish checking out.

No, not at the moment. We need at minimum of 24-hours to process your order. The first available delivery date and time window will appear at checkout.

Yes. If you would like to add items, change your delivery date or time, or even cancel your order and it is the day before your scheduled delivery window, please call us at (720)309-1055 or email us at support@thesimplejar.com. 

Accommodating order changes on the day of your scheduled delivery is very challenging for our small staff to manage but we will do our best to accommodate.

Yes, we require a $20 minimum order.

Safety

We closely monitor food recalls on fresh produce. If an ingredient has been recalled, we notify you immediately and work with our local suppliers to source safe alternatives. You can request a refund of any recalled jars.

Food Prep at Home

Simple Jar meals are crafted to make it easy to enjoy made-from-scratch meals in minutes. There's no need for shopping, washing, or chopping. Just pour into a bowl or pot to cook and serve. Visit this page for simple prep tips.

Our jars meals are designed to stay fresh for 4-5 days in the fridge. As long as the jars are stored upright, all of the leafy greens on the top half of the jars will stay crisp. 

Under normal business conditions, we arrange to take-back all reusable glass mason jars, coolers and ice packs. While we triple wash and sanitize all of these materials, we ask customers to help us out by pre-rinsing the jars. When you sign up for a weekly subscription plan, we arrange to pick up the old cooler when we drop off a fresh cooler of jar meals. If you "skip" a weekly delivery, please hold on to your cooler until your next scheduled delivery. By reusing the mason jars, we've been able to eliminate over 22,000 jars from going to waste since we started in 2018.

During the Coronavirus situation, we will not be taking-back any plastic containers. Instead, please recycle or reuse them at home. 

Gift Cards

We now offer the ability to purchase electronic gift cards from our website. Click on this link to order. Before ordering please make sure that the gift recepient lives in our delivery zone.

After you check out, you will receive an email with a unique electronic code that you can forward to the gift recepient.

In the checkout cart, there is a text box on the right hand side that says “Gift card or discount code”. Enter in your gift card number here and click apply. The balance will remain on the card until it is depleted. If the balance is not enough to cover the full order, you will be asked for a secondary form of payment to make up the difference.
